Walkers/Hikers

We are situated right on the edge of the Brecon Beacons, a prime spot for walks in the wild. 
For the most parts Dogs are welcome, but please make sure they are kept on leads when near animal life.

It is our aim to provide holiday accommodation that is truly dog friendly, so our dog visitors can relax,
take part and enjoy their holiday as much as their humans. 

Road or trail orientated there are more Strava sections than one person could ever do!!!

Wales has lakes, forests, beauty spots and secret places. There are trails that suit everyone, from serious outdoor enthusiasts to families out for a Sunday afternoon walk in the park.

There are many walks and trails in the area within a short drive, some can even be started from the site itself.

The Black Mountain Quarries are around a 20 min drive away and offer panoramic views over the Forest Fawr Geopark and the west part of the Brecon Beacons National Park. The free car park at the top allows walkers and hikers to take long walks over the landscape and visit the quarries or just amble over the countryside admiring the view.

Pen Arthur Wood is a short 5 min car ride away located on the same road. An off-road car park is available and normally pretty quiet. The walk will take you through the woodland trail, an excellent place to walk a dog or two.

Located a short 25 min drive away lies the forest of Crychan. This is a perfect spot for any experienced hiker or just for a quick walk with the dog.

Crychan offers several trails for hikers as well as bike routes and horse trails.The trails range between 2 and  8 miles and offer some great views of the countryside.

Llyn Brianne has quickly become a favourite place to visit for our guests. Located a short drive away this reservoir provides a great place for walks and picnics.
